Pollution in India
Pollution is any contaminant that affects the natural environment. There are many types of pollution in the world, and especially in India that affect the everyday lives of many people. For example the following types of pollution have the most impact on the lives of Indians: water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution, land and soil pollution, and radioactive pollution. Air pollution has the most impact on people because of all the health problems it can cause. Water pollution is a serious problem because of the significance of the rivers in India. Land and soil pollution can affect the growth of crops and the quality of crops, and can potentially affect the safety of food. Noise pollution can lead to stress, and with nearly 1.3 billion people in India noise levels can get very high over the course of the day. Radioactive pollution happens when radiation from a power plant is released and it contaminates the surrounding areas. The radiation can affect water supplies, the soil, and potentially affect the food supply.
